Hey there! My name is Andy Comer, and I’m first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. I love communicating God’s Word to people in a way they can understand.
God has blessed me with an incredibly talented wife, Erin Comer. We met in college, and got married May 20, 2006. We love living life together. Erin has a heart for ministry, and uses her talents as a graphic designer to serve pastors through her business – The Creative Place.
We also love to upcycle old stuff. Check out our blog Gupcycle to see some of our latest remodel projects.
Erin and I have 3 precious girls, Aly Mac, Molly and Charly. Aly Mac follows the rules. Molly makes us laugh. Charly is sassy.
When I was 18 years old, I begin to feel God call me to serve in ministry, I struggled with it for about a year. I had other plans for my life/career, and ministry was not in my plan. Once I surrendered to God’s plan, things began to fall into place. I began serving as a student minister at Mt. Salman Baptist Church in deep East Texas. At 21, I moved to Sulphur Springs, TX to serve in student ministry. After 5 years as the student pastor, I transitioned to the roll of pastor at Davis Street, where I served until age 31. I’m very thankful for these 2 churches that God has allowed me to serve.
I currently serve as the church planter for Antioch Church in Conway, AR. I’m in the process of planting a church in Georgetown, TX called Antioch Georgetown. I was born and raised in Texas, and I can’t wait to be in the heart of Texas doing what God has called me to do.
I’m a high school graduate of Bridge City High School. I received an associate of arts degree from Jacksonville College; a bachelor’s degree in Communications from TX A&M University – Commerce; and a Masters of Religion degree from the BMA Theological Seminary.
In my free time I love to work with my hands doing things like yard work, wood work, or refurbishing something old. I love football, the Texas Longhorns, coffee, and apple.
